Product description Recommended Products from Desert Breeze Distributing Alpaca/Wool Blanket Cooling Comforter Bamboo Outback Gold Wool Wash Wool & Linen Spray Sheepskin Underlay WOVEN WITH REAL ALPACA & SHEEP WOOL - ZERO SYNTHETIC: A 50/50 blend of alpaca and Peruvian sheep wool (Merino/Dorset breeds), woven at a family-run mill in the Peruvian Andes from fiber sourced directly from Andean farmers. No acrylic, no polyester fill; only the edge binding is polyester, for strength. Alpaca gives it softness you won't find in a regular wool blanket. The sheep wool adds loft and body. Check the fiber content on any "alpaca" blanket you compare. HEAVYWEIGHT, BREATHABLE, REVERSIBLE: Wool traps heat without trapping moisture, so you stay warm without waking up sweaty. Both sides are brushed for a soft, lofty nap, and each side shows a different stripe arrangement in natural alpaca colors, so you can flip it to change the look of the bed. Use it on its own on cool nights, layer it over a comforter, or take it to the cabin. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM REAL WOOL: Your blanket arrives with a natural alpaca and sheep wool scent that fades within a couple of weeks. That is the scent of alpaca and sheep wool that has not been heavily processed or chemically deodorized. It has a textured wool feel, not the slippery softness of synthetic fleece, and some natural shedding at first that lessens with time and use. These are signs of real wool - not defects. FULL/QUEEN SIZE, ABOUT 86 x 82 IN, APPROX. 6 LBS: A true bedding blanket. Fits a Full or Queen mattress. Earth Tones stripes in natural alpaca shades. Each blanket is woven in small batches, so size and weight vary slightly between production runs. Also available in Twin and King. EASY CARE - MACHINE WASH AT HOME, OR DRY CLEAN: Air it out and spot clean as needed. To wash, use a large tub or your machine's gentle cycle with no agitation, cool water, and a mild wool wash (we recommend Outback Gold Wool Wash). Lay flat to dry away from direct heat.
